I had those hairpins made by a guy in Tennessee.

RPM Motorsports.

real nice guy, VERY reasonable, fast shipping. 8)
he also built the engine cross-member, and will probably built the rear hairpins too.

Lookin' cool so far. Git-R-Done...!!
At least your camera is handy, even with working at the neighbors house. Some folks on here live next to their garage and can't keep a camera within range to save their life unless 43 people get on their * about it...

Anyway, Got a question about the set-up in Pic labeled Mock-up 4.
It appears that the height of the king pin on the right (drivers side) is setting alot higher than the one on the left (pass. side).
Is this a temporary mock-up, or built in frame sag allowing for the future weight of the rather stout driver/builder/owner... :?:    :P    :0-0

Im sending a dollar with don when he moves by you to kick your azz.. I just better get change back
Vance I like your frame table..   You should see that package thursday or friday..

I'm curious what the OD of your hairpins are?

7/8" is the usual for the front and far as I know all the manufacturers use .156 wall.

I know that some home-builders use .120 wall, but it's not thick enough for the typical 11/16-18 threads on the commonly used Ford tie rod ends.

Think your guy could have used the .120 wall stuff?

Be aware too the .120 wall tubing can be as thin as .114 due to manufacturing tolerances etc.

They are pretty beefy, I think they are 7/8", but now you got me curious :?
threaded ends looks stout to me, but what do I know
the ends are 5/8" thread heims at the frame, and 5/8" thread clevis at the batwing.

I got yer "built in sag" RIGHT HERE :!:

I guess the title of the picture "mock-up4" wasn't clear...........

yes, its just a temporary mock-up to see how and if everything fits.

I had some spare time on my hands, the "frame table" was free, so I put it together, just 'cuz I wanted to.....I have never built an I=beam front end, so it was a learnin' 'sperience 8)
