A small problem,but still a problem

Hi,
I can't get a joint to take grease,I took the zerk out and I can pump grease through it,but Screw it back in and it wont take grease,it's not a new tie rod end.
The boot is not filling with grease,it just will not take any grease.
Any one else have this problem.

Try greasing the fitting while turning or "rotating" the joint...IE: Put pressure on from the grease gun & turn the wheels from side to side.....

If you take out the fitting, can you insert a very small screwdriver into the hole, and dig out some grease?  It may be rock hard?

Jiggle the tie rod or slightly heat it might work.

they do make a pencil type grease fixture that you hit with a hammer and will clear up a grease fitting and force the grease into the fitting. always wanted to make one but were not that expensive. Ed

don't have an answer,but I left it in the shop last night and after it warmed up it took grease,
