decided to build my own frame. my Nephew can get me a pretty good deal on tubing and stuff, so why not :wink:

Vance i built the frame for my first car a 27 t bucket. keep in mind you can do it anyway you want. I did about a 6 inch rear kick and used 2x4 tubing with about a 3/16 wall . I even used that tubing for the front of the frame but if i had to do it over again id use round tubing in the front for better eye candy. I built it on a cement floor with ni jig and it was straight. It just takes time.get a motor and tranny and set em along with the body on the floor and grab your tape measure :!:

I'd have to agree. Any frame will be a "one-off" depending on the pieces you decide to use. If you gathered the pieces then you would be building mounts and brackets rather than building adapters. You could even build something out of wood that layed on the axels and held the cab up. You could have like Enjenjo's tech contest and get suggestions from everybody. Decide on wheel and tire sizes that you'd like. Worn out tires should be easy to come up with and their heigth and width wouldn't be that far for new. GPster
