C-4 trans question

This is for the in house trans expert,I have a C-4 that under light throttle will slide into third but when in the throttle a little third comes in firmly.  It was a junkyard trans that has the fluid changed and new filter along with a new modulator valve,I checked for vacumn and there was plenty and this one strange as the tired trans I had before slipped into third at higher speeds then at light throttle.  Jeff

I would guess you had different modulators between the trans.... or a different adjustment on them.


Was / Is the detent linkage hooked up from the carb to the tranny?

Since posting this message I found the carb bolts were finger tight so it could of been a vacumn problem and I have not driven since,the passing gear rod is not connected and I dont think a factory part will work in this situation.  Jeff
