I had to make some changes to the forum cookie. If you can not stay logged in you will need to delete the cookie for the forum. This can be done by either deleting all cookies or by searching for a file that includes the text "phpbb2rrt" on your hard drive. Once you have found a file with that text delete it. Then relogin.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Now I see the newer info you posted. Yet another way to get rid of cookies...and the one that worked.

Thanks, Charlie

Thanks for the clear instructions. I was able to wipe out the bad cookies, log in with a temp password, and then change that to my original! And at my age!

a couple more things. I am getting a ton of messages about some people not being able to log in. They then request a new password and they get a message about their account being disabled when they try to relogin. This is how the site works. When you change your email address or request a new password the system disables the account until you send a activation request from the email sent to your registered email associated with your account. Its a SECURITY feature. It protects you from having someone else request an email change and hijacking your account.

There still seems to be some confusion about the cookie issue for some. Unless there is some problem with your computer there will be a cookie someplace on your computer. It is how the system knows that you are logged in. It is stored on your computer.

You can also look through the following threads which are related to this issue as it has been discussed before.

Another thing, I can't help if the only thing I get is a message stating, "I can't login."

I don't have time for messages like that. This message is posted at 15 minutes to 1am. I have spent the last 1 1/2 hours reposnding to messages like the above message. I have to be up for work in 6 hours to go to work and have a final paper due in 2 1/2 weeks. If you can't take the time to provide me some details I can't help you. I need sleep too.

I am more than willing to help but you have to help me too.

This might help some that are having trouble.........
On my computer the cookie for the site used www roddingroundtable.com

If I delete all the cookies it takes me over a hour to log in all the groups and clubs I belong to so if anyone changes something that I have to do it again I expect some cold beer waiting for me imediately.  Jeff
