Artilce in the paper today says Lincoln, NE will be the host for Americruise 2006.  Dates are July 21-23.  Hasn't been here for 3 or 4 years so it back again.

Great News!! Is it still sponsored by Rod & Custom Mag? You better get to work on the 34.....I expect to see it at the Fairgrounds in July :P

Vance....Hope you can make it! In the past there has been an "official" cruise that originates in Texas.I'm really looking forward to seeing Lynn's new ride and if Bob gets to work...his 34 as well.I hope a bunch of RRT'rs can make it.....Lincoln is about dead-center in the middle of the country so no excuses :P The dates seem a bit out of whack....as I recall....In the past, when held in Lincoln,Americruise was always the week preceeding the Nat's and there was usually a cruise that started the following Monday to Louisville??

Vance...Perhaps Bob (34 Ford) will see this and respond with more exact info.I am not from Lincoln but there are several newer motels on 27th street which runs North/South very close to the Fairgrounds.Cornhusker is a main East/West road that also runs very close to the Fairgrounds and has several motels along it as well. The only one that comes to mind right now is a Settle Inn which is at the far North end of 27th but there are many more "name brand" motels to choose from.Look forward to meeting you!

I know its kinda early, but I thought if I got
a head start on my "linear waterfowl alignment"
that I would save myself a headache or two later.  :x

looking forward to meeting some of the RRT folks.  :)

this will be my first "real" cruise in and show.

thanks for the info.

Vance,

Actually been out in the garage working on the car today. Have to get it ready.

There are a lot of new places on north 27th. What 40 said is right about the fairgrounds beng close to some motels. I'll have to drive up there and look what all's up there and will get back to you. It's clear on the north end of town and I don't get up that way much let alone look to see about getting me a room.      Here's a link for the motels in town. http://hotel-guides.us/nebraska/lincoln-ne-hotels.html   It will even map them for you.

Here's the link for the fair grounds where I asume the event will be held.

If you have any questions let me know. Will have to have a meet and greet when the time gets nearer.

Date Correction

Evidently the paper printed the wrong dates for Americruise. Here are the right dates.

July 28-30, 2006

With the new dates being the weekend prior to the Nat's....I wonder if a cruise from Lincoln to Louisville will be a part of Americruise this year as in the past???

i've been to all the americruises held in lincoln to date and stayed in several places. my favorite was the super 8 on cornhusker just off of 27th street. it's just about a quarter mile from the fairgrounds and is easy access to and from the show. also easy to get to misty's from there.
