My brother in law has a stock '29 Model A that we need to rebuild the transmission in. Where is the best place to buy parts for it?
Why are there more horses a**es in the world than there are horses?

Bearings are available from most parts stores. Mac's is good for gaskets, and common replacement parts. Gears are still available, I have been using Tom's Transmissions in Iowa, you can get them from Macs too.

Looks like what we'll need are cluster gear, main input shaft, a couple of needle bearings, and clutch & pressure plate

Not sure what all your brother in law's tranny needs, but in addition to the sources Frank supplied, you might want to check Snyder's Antique Auto in New Springfield OH. If you need any uncommon internal parts they'd be the ones to check with. Theres not much for a Model A or T they don't have.

Heres a link to their tranny parts listing online:

Do you need a tetanus shot to ride in that thing?

Is there anything wrong with CT Model A Parts & Engine in Connecticut?
Their prices seem more reasonable

I have never dealt with them.
