That's an interesting hunk of information. I bookmarked it for future use for when I'm dreaming about building something instead of doing it. GPster

No idea on the Width, but I do know that I currently have a 91 Firebird and I can tell you that I used to have a 1983 Camaro Z28 that had a rear with 12 bolt POSI, disc Brakes with E-brakes, and 3:73 gear. My old car would totally kick this car's butt all over the place. I would search for a similar rear axel given the choice.

Hope that is of some Assistance.

CalifCarl

I have an 86 Iroc, I'll try and get a measurement in the next day or so.

CalifCarl

OK I got a measurement through the wheels.  The best I could do without popping the wheels off is somewhere between 62" and 62 1/2" hub face to hub face.

Tom if you provide the info I will compile it and make it a web page in the Tech section.
