Nice ride--what kind of rigs do you have at your service.

Mostly Wheeled Coach.

the newest 3 are Road Rescue.
I like them, they are better for working a bad trauma.
there is a jump seat on the left side, and the patient cot is
located more toward the centerline.

we have 14 trucks in our fleet. the Wheeled Coaches are
getting up there in age and miles, hope they trade
them in soon.

I wouldn't be opposed to a MedTech.

We have 9 rigs here.
2 old Nationals that are basically back-up
6 Taylor made rigs and 1 Braun

Most of the newer ones are E-450 super duty(we carry extracation) and the newest a Braun F-450--big sucka.

My job is to keep them running--right now we have over 2,000 000 miles on the fleet.

I have alot of respect for you folks that keep
us on the streets, we couldn't do our job with out
you.

sometimes we kinda abuse the equipment

the fire dept. does all of our extricatrion.
they get off on it.  :D

Thanks.

Some of the local fire disricts are starting to do the extracation--they get more grant money than we do.  But they don't like to handle the patients--can't stand the blood--go figure.

What kid of service are you involved with?
We are a county run service--partly sef-suffficient and tax funded.  Cover a whole lot of miles--one college town--rural areas.  That is one reason we put a lot of miles on our rigs.

We are owned by Universal Health Services.
they bought the county hospital about 6 years ago.

we cover the city of Amarillo, plus some of the outlying areas.
there are a few Volunteer services that help out in the county.

we will go wherever we are needed.
handle about 1000-1300 calls per year.

sometimes it feels like they come in the same day

you running any E-350 or E-450 rigs.  Got a TSB out now where there is a possibility of cracks in the front shock towers on the higher mileaged vehicles.  Just thought I would pass it on.

car is looking good
