This is my sons Jeep, he originally built it to play in the sand dunes. He started with the steel body and a 350, then glass body with a 383, he now has a 406 in it. As you can see he decided to try dragging it. Luckly he decided to take the motor out of the Jeep and build a 80's Monte to race. The jeep is just to short and tall for the speeds it would reach in the 1/4. Last year the strip near here only ran the 1/8th and he was running at 100mph in that distance
Some days it\'s not worth chewing through the restraints.

That looks like what we were racing around here in the early 80's One of my buddies had one of those with a 496 ci BBC in it, and 4 nitrous stages. He was running 3.4 in 300 ft on sand, at about 120 mph. He broke an axle and rolled it once, no time to react.
