The pontiac is set up for the standard SBC. Now the question is will a 04 corvette bolt up to the same mounts?

In a word, no. But someone is making adapters to bolt the vette motor o standard SBC mounts. Rather than the three bolts used on standard SBC, the LS1 uses 4 bolts in a rectangular pattern, and the left side is offset from the standard position.

Street and Performance sells the adapters.  But there is not much to them.  Just an aluminum plate with holes drilled in it.  Of course the location of the holes is critical.  If you know where to put the holes fabricating a set from 1/4 or 3/8" steel plate should be a snap.

Thanks Steve and Frank. Got ahold of Mark at S&P bought a set of the adapters, May wish I did not buy the LS1 engine. Looks like it will be big bucks before I get it all done and running.
