what is the difference between a single plane and a duel plane
manifold?
thanks

Basically a dual plane splits the engine up into two halves and feeds each half off one half of the carb.  This manifold is better for street because of better idle and low end torque.  A single plane is where the manifold is one open chamber fed by the whole carb.  Because of the bigger volume of the plenum, this is better for top end - high RPM operation.

leon thanks for the info.

One thing should be noted ....... If your using efi then the single plain seem to be better overall
Is it ever goin to cool down up here!

Single planes are PERFECT for any fuel mix that can't fall out of atomisation at low flow velocities.

Alcahol, Propane, Natural gas all LOVE big single plane manifolds

They also work well when the fuel is atomised AFTER it has exited the manifold, like Injection (EFI or mechanical) because they are only flowing air, and therefore fuel "puddling" isn't a problem
