tap, tap. Anyone there?  Wow, what a quiet weekend here. Well, I'll wake it up.  I had more MOHS surgery on my right ear on Friday.  MOHS, for those who don't know what it is, is when they cut out skin cancer, then send you to the waiting room while they look at what they cut out to see if they got it all.  I had two bad areas close to each other, so they made it one surgery.  I had to go back in a second time to get the rest.  They put me on light duty all weekend, and my wife removed the bandages at 3pm today.  Looks pretty good behind my ear.

It's funny when you get a nurse who hasn't seen me before ask if I know about MOHS surgery.  I told this one that I should've joined up for frequent flier miles, as this is my 15th surgery on my head, face or neck.  The surgeon remembered me, though it's been a few years since my last op. He's their best one, so I lucked out there.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program...

Phil, I have friends who have had the same thing. I didn't know of the acronym. :)

I filled out my retirement forms today  8)  I will retire at Christmas and be re hired to finish the school year . This allows me to start collecting my pension 6 months before I actually stop teaching . It also allows me to walk off the job without the required 1 month notice should they give me another teaching assignment like the one I currently have . I will start machining again as a regular joe in August. Sooner if I don't like next semesters teaching assignment.

Bill, I had to look it up.  MOHS is actually named for Frederic E. Mohs who pioneered the technique.  It's a sure way to be sure you get all the cancer, but there can be some nearby that will pop up later.

CK, sounds like a good deal for you.

Regular Joe is where its at, CK.  8)

Phil, that beats the couple dozen stitches that have been done on my mug over the years. Sewing thread in face sucks. But cancer sucks harder than injury. Good that you've been tended to. Speaking of things that suck hard, I've known a couple gals that could suck the chrome off a hitch ball I tell you what.

Getting groceries yesterday I properly parked in a space next to a crappy parker sitting crooked on the paint line then flattened myself like a cockroach to get out. Came out to find...

no door ding or fender bent or key scratch or anything. Another proper parker in that space. :)

This weekend I got the shop cleaned out and The Stude moved into the main shop. Time to install the 700R4. I also got my Ferguson moved into the back shop so I can rebuild the hydraulics.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Spent last night and last Tuesday test fitting the BBC in the 55. I was able to find a set of 63 Grand Prix buckets for the front so I will be switching from the original bench to buckets.

All I heard was Grand Prix!   ;D

And they are good stuff.  :D

One of these pics is a rerun, the others are works in progress. I think the 51 F1 5.0 frame and pieces are being shot now.

Yep, heres that. Satin clear over a color with pearl FLAKEs in it. See what I did there?

It gets a Harley (shiny) white pearl on the outside, has salt flats in the color name. Wheels reflect that theme and scheme. Body is pretty well ready to go.

Bonus ride is the Sport Custom F250, fresh done and with a customer picked color on bottom. It got a metal grille conversion and heck, its sharp enough. Good retro teuck vibe on that one. 390, granny four on the floor. Gas hog!

Matt, does the chassis get flipped to paint both sides?

Our guy made the shaft with bolts welded to it seen in foreground and in background theres just a bolt laying through control arm holes. A fairly sly bit of planning there allowed it to be sprayed all the way with bottom up as shown. I am proud of him for putting in an exceptional amount of thought there.  :)
