I would definitely hold the flashlight if my 3 year elder br'er would fix my house wiring. Swapped my own water heater about two dozen years back. Thats gonna be a heavy one. I'll need him for that too.

Started taking bed floor out of the '55 this morning. "Just bolted in" means all carriage bolts in round holes plus welded. So it begins, anew. :)

Making garage space may qualify as project progress. I'd have to check the RRT handbook to confirm...

I guess he needed me more for my muscles than knowledge. There are only 6 steps to get it out of the basement, and we dropped it off at a local salvage yard.  I got to see my buddy Danny who owns the place.  I used to take all my scrap to him just to get rid of it.
I survived the Hyfrecator 2000.

Where i am from you can not even buy a water heater without pulling a permit as you are not allowed to install it yourself .

I sold the painting of the Camaro on the dragstrip I posted a few days ago...to the guy that owns the car, Tyler Crocket, of Crocket Marine engines. I had another painting started but lost  my way on it so I set it aside, I messed around with it for a while and ended up with this, far from my original intebtion, but I finished it....😀

I took some time off this past weekend...  Watched a couple old Andy Griffith, Friends TV  shows..  Bewitched TV show too.

We have not watched any of the Friends TV shows in years. My wife and I were laughing purty hard.

Yes, supposed to be lightning. This is where I got lost, the original
Idea was to have the car in a storm, but much less well defined, with only highlights showing in a dark woods. I got carried away, as usual, and painted the car much brighter and detailed than I had intended. Oh well, it's done and can be filed with all the others out of sight. 😄

I am doing a happy dance ! The chopper I am helping my buddy build in my shop has a likely final color choice .......METALFLAKE root beer ;D ;D 8) Sounds like it will get a tooled leather seat as well .

I had a root beer today, with ice flakes.  8)  That sounds like a pretty good look. Dead cow and root beer do kinda go together good.

That nomad with no roof thing at work... I think we can put a 55  chevy pickup roof on it and use the existing 67-72 ford truck cab back panel. A custom bed cap is what appears to have been planned, and it would have the profile of the original roof.

Holes are patched the windows are taped for me to start bodywork. Not only do I hate doing this, it is 10* outside when I get home from work.
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

I am going to change the way the fiberglass front end tilts on the old truck.  I need to cut a straight line on the back of the curved fender area.  I tried a test with a little laser level I got for Christmas this year.  I think it will let me do the layout for the cut.  I hope the laser image will show up in the photo.

New levels of negative bodywork amazement were found this week on the at work project and since Monday I guessed what to do. Found wire wheel to be most effective for record-deep filler removal. The grey room looked like a snow globe. Today I ground some other people's welding.

Last night I planned to put in some time on that last art picture but after taking a good look at it... I just don't have the skill to satisfactorily complete it so that project is aborted. It was fun to try but scaling the cars with believable accuracy is beyond my ability. Oh well. Gave it my best shot. Might warm up enough today to take Grape out. Barely. That will be good if so.

We have redecorated our sons room.  He moved out at least 20 years ago.  We found lots of treasures.  In the closet was the pinewood derby car that I built when he was building his over 25 years ago.  My version of the Pinewood Derby American Graffiti Coupe. :)
