We have redecorated our sons room.  He moved out at least 20 years ago.  We found lots of treasures.  In the closet was the pinewood derby car that I built when he was building his over 25 years ago.  My version of the Pinewood Derby American Graffiti Coupe. :)

That is cool! 8)

Watched a George Carlin concert on TV from 1999..  "You are all Diseased".  Typical of ol George, crude and rude in some sections. Yet a few items he was talking about 20+ years ago were true then and so true today.

I watched the blob ('58) and Foster Brooks roasting Betty White on Dean Martin. A '55 truck roof and full car floor got ordered yesterday for my work project and I cut out the ford back window to move it down.

I'm watching it snow. That isn't what I would prefer to be doing. :)

Last week, during the daily lunch , I often watch old western TV shows.  Wagon Train, Rawhide, some TV movie that Chuck Conners was in and it was not The Rifleman TV show.. Since then the theme song to Rawhide has been stuck in head.

Is it the Blues Brothers rendition which plays in your head or the TV intro? :)

I got the window moved down on the Caminomad, tucked into the existing bodywork. Removed rear roof brace and put slits in the existing roof to bring it down to meet for a look at the proposed roofline. Its working out. So far, so good.

I finished the hoist and the fixture for the front end of the old truck.  I am modifying the front end so that it will open more and easier, and fit to the cowl better.    Now I can remove the front end by myself and have the fixture to hold it, and be able to move it around.

I received an email from the freight company that carried the rear fenders on the 51 back in June. They are going to pay 5/8's of what I requested in damages to the fender. I think that is as good as it gets. :) Something is better than nothing. :) I didn't write down each time I called but I believe it was at least 6 times. Maybe I outlasted them. :)

Part of my day I took the hitch pin box off my 5th wheel.  The OEM pin box was a solid 1 piece unit. The replacement is a Morryde brand pin box. It is basically a large rubber bonded  mount for 5th wheel, similar to an engine mount. This pin box allows movement forward and backwards, sideways too.   It reduces the bucking and chucking a truck &  5th wheel trailer does on rough roads, bumps, cracks in the surface of the road.

Ten 5/8 inch diameter bolts hold the parts together.

I finished a commission painting yesterday. 16" X 20". Acrylic paints. I have to get it framed tomorrow and delivered Monday.

Pretty background on that one.

Got the window frame boxed in on three sides inside and tacked up sail panel fill-in bits for a side pending approval after roof. Everything still unscrews. Parts maybe soon as tomorrow. Clearing out home made pans meanwhile, at work. Should be warm enough this afternoon to make the ever-important sanity-preserving 455 run. :)

Been driving the GT two weeks daily now. Drove GTP today and it always seems like a top fueler after that  Jiggles the innards a bit like a rollercoaster, the GT don't do that.

Dave, every time you post pictures of your truck I flash back to a great old ford truck I had back when I built the cabin. I put a 289 in it. It was a daily driver.

That is the same paint scheme George. Vickies will never be seen that way again.  :(
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

New pin box installed saturday.  Friend of mine came over. We lifted pin box as my wife stuck 2 large screwdrivers thru the holes to keep the pin box in place.  Torqued the bolts to 110 ft pounds.  Grade 5 bolts. 5/8 inch x 11 thread
