Just wondering if anyone has used the */Absolute sheet metal dash for a 1939 Chevy. It is a replacement for the original but has a flat face for gauges.  How was the installation and fit?  Thanks for any info you can give.

I can't speak for that particular dash, but I have used their 40 Ford dash and it fit perfectly.

Thanks for the reply.  Sounds like they have done their homework.

A little tip for installing gauges, clamp the area being drilled to a piece of wood. Predrill the holes for the gauge center with a 1/4" drill. Replace the  drill in the hole saw with a 1/4" rod so the center doesn't wander. If using 2 1/16" gauges use a 2" hole saw, and a sanding drum to open it to the finished size.

Thanks for the tip.  Actually planning on recessing an aluminum panel into the dash.  Haven't finalized direction I am going yet.
