SWMBO and I got our second corvid shot today. I said to the nurse" now that I have the second shot I can mow the grass naked except for the mask, right?". She told me I still had to wait two weeks to mow naked.

Not much to show on the 54 project, it's all details now, and frankly it looks like I haven't touched in a month to me, but one by one things are getting checked off the list.

I got some bad news too. Early Monday morning my mother passed away as the result of a stroke she suffered last Tuesday. She had a life alert medallion that failed to work, for the second time, and was not found until about 12 hours had passed by her nurse. When we found that there was no possibility of recovery. my sister that is a nurse came in from St Louis, and did 24 hour hospice until she passed. She never regained consciousness' before she passed.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

The wife and I got our second Covid shot today too. Same routine as the first and besides twisting my neck trying to see some commotion I am doing fine like the last shot.. Thank goodness this stage of the pandemic is behind me. I will set back and keep a low profile till they decide we all need a booster..

My sincere condolences are offered to the entire Kocinski clan.

Sorry to hear about your mom Frank. You and the family have our condolences.
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

Frank, so sorry about your Mom. Theres no good way or time.

Dad has to wait again, more, for a second shot. The very day Mom felt well after her illness, Dad came down with it. Because a quick test was positive on her they both quarantined. He never got to get tested, appointment was cancelled. The covid description does not really fit. Double Qs back to back and a bout with an over rated fever / cold is what he is dealing with while pushing 84 years. My brother hauls hospital linens and miraculously has not had "it".

I haven't driven my loud one in awhile, ain't felt like it. I suspect one of my few trusted friends died weekend before last, they just went dark and has been sickly all through life.

One guy at work, the new one, hasn't shown up this week and by yesterday boss was so angry from that, he is toe-ing the line of how much lip a loyal employee can shrug off. His Dad has a longwinded terminal condition which may be part of it but I can see production collision shop writing on the wall. A little disrespect goes a long way and I end up trying to console the evening drunk guy via flurry of texts past bedtime. Just what I need.

My needs never seem to boil out. I sure hope boss stays cool. My one remaining uncle is wanting to visit when Q is overwith. Last time I saw him I asked whatcha doing and his reply was " Waiting for it." He is oldest.

I feel like a young stooge tech again, not knowing what I will be told to work on each day, scrambling against the clock and knowing theres no more big builds in the future. Just late model trucks I need a ladder to close aluminum hoods on. Reckon I got replaced and am just being kept until the big jobs are gone. But that could take years. If I say I want some time off after ten years without, boy howdy thats gonna be an issue! :!: No rest for the wicked.

...and that ^^^ is what to expect for the foreseeable future. An easy downhill slide I cannot do a thing to prevent. If I don't give out. Sorry about the typing before noon thing, thats just how I sound naturally.

Finished the pulley spacer yesterday . Also got the brake caliper mount welded to the frame on a harley chopper project I am doing with/for a buddy. That bike is soon ready for wiring and cables and fuel line . then paint and take it for a spin ! My pushrods are in , so assembly will begin again on the T motor .  IDJ , I know that feeling about the future of a workplace , around here they are cutting any shop programs they can . Grade 7 and 8 industrial arts programs were eliminated and changes made to gr9 program . Major change to our house construction program this week that may end it . Looks like those in charge do not see the value in hands on learning and are not so slowly eliminating it . I am now booked in to teach a life transitions program in place of a senior level industrial arts class that was cancelled .

Getting ready to stab my new engine and trans into my '46 Chevy. It has been a long time since I have done this type of car stuff, at least 15 years. I found the trans mount had to go back 2 1/8" so I sawed 14" out of the trans crossmember, and made a new piece to mount the trans. I found that I do NOT enjoy working under a car on the garage floor anymore. I have the car as high as I feel safe getting it but laying on cardboard with a trouble light for illumination while using a Sawzall on frame pieces just isn't the fun it once was! 😄 I think all the hard stuff is done, but I still have to remove some exhaust pieces, I'm going to try to use some Corvette headers a friend gave me, brand new, in place of the blockhuggers on there now. Passenger side looks easy, drivers side not so much, I see it snowballing into moving steering columns and shafts around....on a more fun note, I painted a portrait of my grand daughter....
