I will try to make this as short and to the point as possible. As CK just pointed out, the moron dispenser is stuck again. Many days go torment-free but I can't say most. Today, as an example:

SWAT team, two dozen units four doors down from work as I drove in. Warrant, barricade, standoff with known officer shooter-atter.

Show car parts lost. Search half hour, disengage. Pop visit by owner. Parts later found.

Shop septic issue announced. Maybe on our own indefinitely, for needs. I live 20 miles away and have bladder trouble.

Black cat was waiting for me and darted past. The sky went grey, a gusty wind arose dropping temp by twenty degrees, and a red Mustang  tailgater frightened me into turning off and making a loop around the block. At lunch.

Getting home sweet home: Blinding Jeep on bumper across town, three dump trucks get ahead of me at light. Couple more lights. School right lane starts / ends so half dozen pass all at double no-kids limit. Still room so I pass one, safely enough. Ten mile no passing stretch begins, truck and I are fine but here comes nascar Jeep. Center lane is heavy pebbles, they attempt pass so I stomp to deny. Again, they go and again I say no to gravel shower. Truck sees pass attempt, moves to block. Off the gas now, I get severely blasted by both. Rearview clear, locked em up and just sat there a sec. Full blown shaky tremor hands. I had nowhere to go and that was straight combat is what that was. I got brake checked trying to catch the tag. Fail.

That ain't all! Next highway, wait on train. Next stretch, wreck across 4 of 5 lanes. Wait. Time to stop shaking hands but bladder not so much. Quiet dark 2 lane stretch by park, Honda trading paint with bumper at 35 in a 30. Pull over, let pass. Now Honda going strict 29 mph.

At least there wasn't soggy bills in the mailbox and dogs barking when I made it. I left out the stuff like that. But just wow, I wish there was a pattern to spot. Really, there is. It will be this way until spring. And then intensify more. I am gonna need my 455 time.  :-\

All told, I hit my bases and kept it together in fine spirits all but the shaky part.

Obliged for your tolerance. To folks my age, retirement sounds like the afterlife.

Is the bed for a '55? Dave.

Bed is for my wife's 64 F100. My 55 is a handyman wagon. And we have the hippy van project also. I am trying to avoid touching that till the F100 is a daily driver for her.
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

Aw OK. I wouldn't make a very good Ford spotter but certain bodies I'm overly familiar with. The rest are strangers. That new aftermarket frame does seem like a trucky monster though. I thought your cool handyman was a 57. Do recall seeing her truck pics now. I get in too many conversations and have trouble remembering rides and who they go to.

But during that commute home, I got the idea to try Ranch Wagon wheel openings on a Handyman.  :) ;D

Read the news article about yesterday's "standoff"... no shots fired. Officers arrived to escort subject to court ordered psychiatric evaluation but he didn't want to go and had shot at police before. Sounds pretty cut and dried there. It was wise to have enough backup but looked like every Sheriff's unit in the county was there. Thats a lot of AR-15s to get a guy to an appointment.

Typical day. I took a load of iron to the scrap yard. $220 a ton for shred. Then I came home and went out to the shop to clean up. So I picked out a table to start on. I picked up my angle drill and saw that it still needed the new cord I bought a year ago installed. So I installed it and put it away. I went back to the table and found a handle I wanted on my welder cart, fresh out of an ambulance a couple years ago. So I installed that too. then I realized that the storage hooks for the welding cables were right there, so I installed them too. Then I might as well make hold downs for the welders. So long story short the table is not cleaned off.

We are still busy with the rv and  trailer park model unit. An endless list of items to do. We do have a couple big irons in the fire. In a week or 2 we will see how that pans out .

Yet..... I need to help my older brother with chores again. He is near hoarder level of gathering up stuff. He will buy stuff for projects that are broke or new. If he needs 2 of something, he will buy 4... LOL  The project never gets to the start line. We can all do that. My brother is at an Expert level.

We have internet service at the Park Model unit since friday. It is a company named Jabba. they service RV parks , I am not sure what is  the base feed source or supplier or what ever its called for internet. Reasonable price and service has been good, quik. Antenna is a square device about 6 inches. Set to point to a tower that is near the RV park offices.

Now the DVR device on DirecTV has full function and records shows automatically. My wife's TV shows can now be recorded.  She watches the crime - mystery type stuff... It was a PITA for her to have to watch the shows live with commercials! (sarcasm)

I tied a knot in a piece of continous 1/4" round steel rod this morning.  I had wanted to try this for some time.  Not easy but fun.

If you ever need something tied with a steel knot, let me know.

More shop cleanup, and buttoning the outside down for winter. I am going to build a crane that fits on the back of my tractor so I can move things around outside a bit easier. I have to see about a new clutch for it too. It's been a while since I split a tractor.

We replaced our toy hauler with this 5th wheel. Just not enough living space in the toy hauler for long term travel for us. Lighter colors inside & out too.

Looks like fun to me.  That is a lot of truck and trailer.
