I haven't picked up a paintbrush for at least two months, kinda hit a wall and got very busy. The other day I felt like painting so I started this. Seems a little like starting over, but things seem to be going OK. Now I have to decide on a wheel color, I'm thinking.a dark maroon. 🤔

I like that phat46.
How about the dark yellow you have on the car for the wheel color? Might look good with the chrome caps.   .02

You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

I adjusted the valves on the 460/Ranger today.  Then some other general maintenance.  I am going to try another modulator on the transmission.  It is an attempt to lower the shift points.  If things work out, I may take it to the drag trip for test and tune this weekend.

I built a chilled water air conditioner for it this week.  When the system is finalized I will post some photos and an explanation.  It is completely removable from the vehicle in less than 5 minuets.

WZ thats sounds interesting.

I vote dirty black or the red oxide on wheels.

I installed an electric winch on a tilt deck trailer today. I have to pick up a Roper tractor tomorrow, and I am not going to do another one with a come-a-long.

^^^^^^
I understand that. I have a friend with a lowboy 5th wheel that has the remote control electric winch. That will spoil you in about 30 seconds. The last trailer I built to haul my dragster had an electric winch. I made sure that battery was charged all the time. :)

Those look fresh. :)

I meandered the GTP past 292K today. A bird crapped on it.

Phat 46, that looks good and appropriate. :) Matt, was the bird telling you something? :)

Sure. "That looks like water from here.". From that information I was able to extrapolate two good points: The windshield is shiny and good fortune was upon me. It was a loose double glopper and if I had been going faster I might have been wearing it. Hit top of windshield with roof open at about 5 mph.

Picked up some 16" 62 F100 wheels today. I'll cut the centers out of them and put wider rims on them. I haven't decided  on 6", 7" or 8".

I spent a few days at Salina. The show was good. Around 2000 entries. An assortment of everything. I met many new people and had some great conversations. Uneventful trip. I killed my fair share of insects. :) This was the 1st time in around 4 years that I didn't get caught in wet weather of some kind. :)

Today is turning out to be a bad day. The Silverado that won't start has a bad starter, tomorrow before I can get one. The hydrostatic drive on the lawn mower locked up and it won't move. And the part I made for Josh is backwards and I have to do it again. I think I will go to bed.

I apologize for the quality of the pics I've been posting from shows. My new camera has more pixels than the last one and I haven't found the correct combination to meet the upload requirements with quality. I'm still working on it. :)

They look fine to me.

Tomorrow will be a better day, Frank.
