Josh's friend has made it out of intensive care and has been moved to a rehab hospital. His kidneys have failed so he is on dialysis, maybe for the rest of his life.

Got word last night that a friend I used to work with before retirement passed away from Covid. He was a big, strong man. That makes four people I know that have died from this. 😕

My friends have tested negative for the virus now.. both of them had symptoms for about 4 days each.

Mrs. B and I topped off our April shots of Pfizer with a bit of Moderna today. Feeling good for our trip to Shreveport for family Christmas.

My wife & I are into day 24 of our covid experience.   ...Recovery is slow, but heading in the right direction.

On Nov 16th we spent 10 hours in close proximity with our best friend.  ....Two days later she tested positive, and our symptoms started 11/19.

My wife tested positive on 11/23.  ...I was not able to find a testing site.   ....Doctors will not prescribe meds unless hospitalized.  ....Suggested over-the-counter aids, only.

My wife & I are not vaxxed.  ....Our friend was not vaxxed.  ....Ironically, the woman our friend got it from was fully vaxxed & boosted and got covid anyway.

My wife's doctor said most of the cases he is seeing are people who have been fully vaxxed & boosted.

Just because you may be fully vaxxed & boosted, don't feel immune.  ...You can still get it and/or spread it.

The "experts" say it takes 15 minutes of close contact with a covid positive person to contract it.  ....It is almost impossible to get it passing someone in a supermarket aisle for 20 seconds.

Bruce; sorry to read what you are dealing with. It is common knowledge put out there that a person with vaccine can still contract the Wuhan flu.  Just have less effects from it.  Same deal as the basic flu shot offered each year in many countries.

My cousin in Tucson AZ has a friend (fellow nurse) in Las Vegas that has the Wuhan flu. She is unvaccinated and  very ill, in the hospital now. My cousin still refuses the vaccine. She works for the VA hospital in Tucson. This cousin has a 30 yr old niece that also worked for the VA and recently quit her job because of the required vaccine mandate. She gave up good pay, seniority , & benefits , so I hope it all works out for her.

Wow, Bruce, sure hope you and your wife are feeling better soon.

As a person who's vaccinated I still don't want to experience the negative effects of the disease, and I feel a responsibility to do my part to not spread it. I remain thoughtful about how I expose myself to the sorts of environments which tend to spread the virus. I am, however, relieved I'm somewhat less likely to catch COVID, a lot less likely to be hospitalized if I do catch it, and almost completely unlikely to die from it.

I'm with you, jaybee. Had the booster and still wear a mask inside most places. We went to Iowa today, and hardly anyone is wearing masks there.

Me three, jaybee. It seems to me as though the vacc does help limit severity. Shreveport, eh? I lived in Natchitoches and Bossier City. And some in east Texas.

I think my whole family except me have had the virus. Parents vac'd, brother anti. I don't often get sick or acknowledge it if I do. EVERYone else around me is ANTI! Masks are a rare sight now. I had the single shot end of May. If I were anyone else, I'd get a booster. Pretty much a hermit always at home or work though. My luck, I'd get it from a shot giver. Nothing against the booster but when in Rome... ::)

Bruce I hope you guys are back up to snuff for the holidays and that the misery fades even sooner.

Bossier, eh? That's where my brother-in-law and sister-in-law live. Way on the north side of town, north of Airline High School toward Benton.

Up here we are on a mask mandate in any public building . Also restaurants and liquor stores require proof of vaccination before you can enter . I now wear my mask in the truck , it helps keep the windows from fogging up !

Thanks for the well wishes, guys!  ...We're at day 29 and about 90% recovered.

As unpleasant as our covid experience has been, we are fortunate we did not require hospitalization.  ...Everyone seems to be affected differently.

As more & more people get vaxxed, they are still spreading covid, even if they may not suffer as much.     .....We have been sold a bunch of BS about vaccines and their effectiveness,  .....Too much money still to be made by pushing vaccines and boosters!

Cornell University in NY just went back to remote learning.  ...Over 900 new cases of covid on campus.  ....According to school VP, virtually all 900 were vaxxed & boosted.

I have heard of several people who are on their 2nd or 3rd covid infection.

Spent half a day at my friends house that had the virus weeks ago. We were outside.  Keeping distance from each other. No mask.

He is doing fine. She is still tired, runs out of energy about mid day. Both of them are early 70s yrs of age.  She went inside after couple hours, needed to kick back in her recliner for a bit. Her husband after 1 minute said: she is already asleep.

She is doing some walking without the dog.  Dog slows her down. Couple blocks from the house and back each day walking.

She brought the virus to the house.  She says the people she visits with is limited and no body else has shown symptoms now or previously. A few of her contacts have been tested, were negative.

He has been released to home care, rehab comes to his house every day. he is off dialysis and kidneys are functioning good. He has lost nearly 100 pounds from his pre-corvid weight.

I never got the mumps, measles, rubella, diptheria, pertussis, tetnus and polio because my mother took me for the vaccines. I don't have covid, and I've been vaccinated and got my booster shot.  I had a neighbor whose mother didn't believe in the polio vaccine, and of course, she got it.  I, for one, believe the cdc before the talking heads on tv.
