Sitting in a fast food place the other day. A couple sitting across the room, no masks on.. The fellow (older) puts his blue mask on, walks to soda fountain to fill his cup.  He walks back , sits down with mask on. He keeps the mask on and lifts the mask  to drink from the soda.

Our 31 year old friend with Corvid has just been Life Flighted to the Cleveland Clinic as he is getting worse and the local hospital can do no more for him. The prognosis is not good.

My niece's husband just passed from covid. He was a little over weight but otherwise healthy. 50 yrs old and not vaxed.

George: sorry to read that..  My older & only brother was talking about getting vaccinated 2 months back.  He is vocal about Not getting the vaccine. I guess I should ask what he and his wife decided.

Very sorry to hear that, George. There's still far too much of it out there.

I found out this morning that my younger brother has Corvid. He has been teaching in a homeless shelter in Findley Ohio, and he picked it up there. He was not vaccinated. Politics. I am praying for him.

My young friend is in Cleveland Clinic, still in an induced coma, and now is on dialysis as his kidneys have failed.

Sorry to hear of the friends and family with Covid . My son had it last spring but he is young and pretty healthy. He was quarantined in a hotel room for 2 weeks . He did not have that new more resistant strain . Still talks of a bit of brain fog .

Oh no, that's tragic. Mrs B and I returned from Texas today, where we spent the last week with my son and his gf. Because my work paid for my transportation due to reasons we needn't go into here we were unable to get two seats together on either flight. On the long leg between DFW and Norfolk, VA she had to sit between two proudly unvaccinated Texans, one of whom raised a fuss when the flight attendant told him his gaiter-style mask isn't allowed on the plane. He knew that, of course. You indicate your agreement before buying your ticket. When you check in you agree again. The signs at the entry to the airport say it and they mention it repeatedly on the overhead the whole time you're in the airport. They announce it on the airplane. I have a problem with people who make it a point to make a scene.

I am of the same thinking with mask , gator type face covering and others.  If a company (airlines) require certain item:  either comply or stay away from the business.  That is what we do. If a company demands we wear a mask inside, we go somewhere else. Purty dang simple and I am not arguing with anyone on the subject.

If and when I attend a medical place of business that requires a mask ...  I will wear a face covering.

A long time friend has tested positive for the chinese flu 2 days ago.. the original flu , not a variant.  Of course her husband has symptoms now.  We were at their house last weekend. Outside , not inside the house.  On the  patio , driveway , etc.

At the time she was telling us that she had a fever and headache like cold symptoms that had just passed..  We did not really put anything to it like the chinese flu.  They are both vaccinated , boosted .  He seems to be about 2 days behind his wife in the symptoms. She is feeling good. They will remain home for several more days

I have a niece in MT that caught covid, and ended up in the hospital for only two days. Luckily, she had both her kids vaxxed; the boy just joined the Marines and is in CA, the girl is still in HS. When asked, the niece says she's still not sure if she'll get vaxxed or not.  We got our Moderna booster shot this past Thursday.

A couple of weeks ago, my wife and son's family all had influenza A. She went to the doctor and the doc listened to her lungs and gave her a covid test. She was positive. She received a steriod shot to break up the congestion in her lungs and an antibiotic. 3 days later she was able to get into the emergency room for monoclonal antibodies. By then she was feeling much better. There's only one person in the er that does that and they don't work weekends. :) She's back to 100%. She was vaxed and just had the booster a few days before we think she came down with covid. Our best guess is the granddaughter brought it from school.

We're set up for our boosters on Saturday. The first dose for both of us was Pfizer, we're getting Moderna for dessert.
