I want to use a banjo bolt and banjo fitting to plumb this remote oil filter plate so that I can gain some more space.  Originally it was to be plumbed straight down with a pipe nipple and hose fitting,  but this will use up some of the space that I really need.  Do you think the banjo bolt and fitting will limit the oil flow?

Here is a link to the banjo bolt.   https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pipe-1-2-NPT-Thread-Banjo-Bolt-Diesel-Oil-Fuel-Fitting-Boat-N-GH-/162354680947

Is there enough room for 2 fittings on that adapter?

Frank, I will look at that style of fitting.  I need it to be adjustable at the end that it will go into the oil filter plate so that I can point it the  direction it needs to go.  That is one advantage of the banjo fitting.  This does open up some other possiblities.

Just be sure there is enough capacity for oil flow through the adapter . The one in your picture I would wonder about . The offset hole tends to be small where the in/out holes intersect /offset from each other . I know of one drag race small block ford that lost an engine that specifically traced back to that restriction. I made an adapter for a 351W that was about 2" thick that threaded in where the filter did and drilled /tapped holes where needed at 90degrees  so that straight fittings could be used and avoided the restriction of the offset holes.

I found another oil filter adapter made by trans dapt that looks like it might be better, but I am having trouble finding information about the application.  I am tired of surfing the net for trans dapt information.  I will come back to it later.  This one has two opposing sets of horizontal outlet/inlets.

That will work. Do you have the adapter for the engine?

Looks to be the cheapest. You don't have as much rotation as the single bolt models but I'm sure it will work. I've used similar units in the past and had no difficulties.

That little filter that fits a Ford is for a Volvo.  My friend has to run one of those on his C cab.

What I like was the option of using either side and then plugging the other side.  This way when you install it on the engine, no matter what position it stops when it is tight, you should be able to plumb your lines.  I like the cheapest option too.

The part of this research that is frustrating is that I can not find the information that says this fits a 460 engine.  But the measurements seem to indicate that it does.
