Congratulations to Team Vesco for the first pass at over 500 mph in a wheel driven vehicle.  It is the end result of many years of hard work by a lot of people.  I wish I could be there this morning to watch and hear the back up record run.  Being out on the salt at daylight for the record runs is magic.

It looks like the event is a rain out and that concludes the year at the Bonneville Salt Flats.  To bad as there were some very good conditions and some fast cars on the salt.  Oh well there is always next year.

I looked the car over...  some years back.  It was one of the first times the Turbinator II was at the salt.  The engineering and workmanship was excellent.

it is interesting on how this car does not use a push vehicle to gain speed from a stop
