Will PPG epoxy primer and Concept single stage paint hold up on the engine block?  Want to paint it body color.   Thanks for any and all input and opinions.

I haven't used the Concept single stage, but normally yes good quality car paint will hold up pretty good. Better than anything with no catalyst would. Some discoloration should be expected on iron casting places like siamesed exhaust ports, or manifold heat passages. That depends on color and your experience may vary, but we do this at work often and with good success.

I used single stage enamel paint for engine blocks back in the 1980's.

First car I did this on was a W-30 Olds with a bronze color on the engine. The customer w anted the engine & compartment to "look like a million bucks"

I had paint color matched... little bit of catalyst added.  Sprayed over the DP 40 primer.

The guy was happy.  The paint held up for a long time.  Litle bit of  paint burning around the exhaust ports
