I finally have this T5 transmission done. It's going in an old Chevy with a 235. and the original closed driveshaft. It's a NWC S10 case, with a 4.09 first gear, a shortened Jeep input shaft to match the 235 clutch spline, no need for an adapter. It has a Jeep output shaft, recut to a 1.38" by 23 Toyota spline, a Spicer yoke for a Tundra with a 1310 Ujoint, with a fabricated yoke to fit the 1 1/16" by 10 Chevy driveshaft.  It has a Jeep 4x4 extension housing, modified for an electronic  speedometer, and a pressed in/welded insert for a Toyota tailshaft bushing and seal. Then an adapter that bolts on with a cup for the Chevy torque ball, and a flange to hold the torque ball retainer. the adapter is two pieces, only because I did not have one piece thick enough. The shifter is a combination of S10 and Jeep parts adapted to move the shifter 1" forward of the original position. S10 shifter base and detent block, and a Jeep lower shift lever, with a adapter/spacer to make it work.

...to make it work.

Nice work, making it work. Quite a mouthful of modifications required to suit the desire, but I'm sure the extra range of gearing will be well worth it.

Is this the one that you posted the shifter mods on about a year ago?

No, that one was a late Mustang T5 into a Chevy pickup.

Have you used most of the parts from that collection you started some time ago? Seems like you bought a dozen trannys? You found a great use for a NWC!

I have used up most of them, but I bought a bunch more. :D  I have a whole stack of them out in the barn.

I like your quick attach for your engine stand. I'm learning more about being in the correct position while working. :)
