Visually illustrated fundamentals, I can dig it. I do not remember the vid but did enjoy watching it today. Cartoons never fail!

I still use that video in my welding classes ! There is no better  way to concentrate a kids attention on a particular event  than using illustrations to exaggerate the effect . I played that video last Friday . Mr. Shrink , not a name any man would want to be known by .

You notice who produced that film?
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I think it was Walt Disney.... Didn't they produce a lot of instructional films early on   :?:  :?:

The copyright date is too fuzzy for my old peepers . ( Prolly flashed one too many times .. )

One of the responses on the original U-Tube copy shows :

"" the release date for this video was 12 april
1945 ""

Given the music & the repeated reminder that "ARC welding is the procedure of the future ", I would suspect that this is correct ...

Many of today's automotive "Techs" don't realize that learning to weld was a part of reaching "Journeyman" mechanic status back in the day ....
I'm sure that Frank can agree with this ...

Oops ..My age is showing ...

You mean when you were expected to "fix" things, rather than just change parts?

I  need to watch it carefully and some of the videos on the right side of the page. I thought I could stick things together but trying the other day my ability has diminished. Lack of coordination, poor hearing and no depth perception because I only see with one eye seems to keep me from making a bead. GPster

Stick with it Joe ... That's the way that I weld NORMALLY  :!:

The one eye thing has been there since I was a kid .. The tinnitus in the ears makes it hard to hear the "Bacon Sizzle" while laying a bead ...What is REALLY starting to concern me is the loss of feeling in my fingers.. :?  Hard to play "nuts & bolts, pick anything up,do the normal stuff your fingers are responsible for ....

I just hope that my fingers are not going the same way my legs & feet are ....  ( Nurapathy )..

That's at the top of the list for this months Doctor visit .. Him & me gotta talk... :(
