Ford 5.0 Question

This is about a 1987 engine. Do these have distributor problems? Seems to come up with a occasional miss. Clears up then comes back. Ideas?

If this is eec iv efi, there is known problems with the tfi module when it gets hot. If you take a module to somewhere like autozone to be tested, run the cycle at least 6 times to heat up the module before making a decision on whether it's good or not. I did have a miss once but it was continuous.
