So, we have a 6.0L Silverado with the 4L80E trans? This thing takes a bit of time to drop into drive then it slips shifting from first to second. Goes into reverse just fine and all the other gears. In tow haul it shifts better but not right. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Don

If it is a 2500 truck, the 4L80  has a clutch pack for 2nd gear.

Mileage on this trans?  If known?

soft 1-2 shift is likely from heated & warped steel plates and frictions.

Trans could use a freshen up  I imagine
