I found a product I really like so I thought I would pass it on. I put new tires on my deuce late this summer, and I was looking for something to keep them looking black. Turtle Wax came out with a new product called Jet Black so I thought I would give it a try. It turns out Jet Black is superior to anything I have used in the past. This stuff really lasts. I used it for the first time in August, and my tires are still nice and black. It isn't cheap, but because it lasts longer, it is probably worth the extra expense.

Hello;
Great! I'll give that a try! While we are on the subject I found something I have been using that is really totally different. It's made by Dupli-Color, It sprays on (like spray paint) and last an incredible long time as well. It's part of their "detailer series" and realy is convenient to use.
Tires look shiny but not "wet" shiney!

I do not use a lot of this stuff but my choice has been Endurance by Meguiars.   It last a long time and makes the tires look new without being wet looking or greasy.  What I do not like about Endurace is that when you use it on a fenderless car, it will come off on your clothes or the seat of your pants if you sit down on a tire.  Being able to sit on a tire for a chair substitute is one of the advantages of driving a fenderless car.

If that is the case, you might like this stuff, John. It is not silicone-based like all the other products that have been around for years.
