Glen,

The older you get, the better you like that hoist.  Also, up here in cold country, it is not much fun to work on concrete in the winter.  No matter how much heat in the garage the floor just sucks it out of you.

Quote from: "Glen"I got tired of everyone asking if I was going to put a lift in so I did.  Never understood the fascination with having one, but its growing on me.

and you have a milling machine and a lathe and a band saw and a .......
you should be so lucky 8)
I maybe from down under but I know which way is up.
Oh hell there goes another head rush.

Glen, hoist is good for many items. Lift whole car, lift front only (slightly).

I prefer a ''clear floor'' model , that comes after decades of working under cars on hoists. Less to step over is good for me.

is that a 7k pound hoist?  What brand?  Deadman release on arm locks?  My hoist at home is a Rotary unit. It was the newest unit I had at my shops. When I shut down fully, I kept this one since it was only 1 yr old then.

I would have purchased a clear floor design but the ceiling was too low.  Its a 9k lb Direct lift.  Luckily I have a good relationship thru the Doehrman co. here in town thru work so I trusted them with the product and install.

You need to stop by and check it out.

Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Well....unless you guys want to see landscaping improvements, we can probably un-pin this thread.  I am pretty much done.  I need to organize stuff and run my copper lines for the compressor but that's about it.

I can save you some work, I tore this old shed down Saturday and called a scrapper to pick it up sunday.

You could have changed the trans fluid on the Nova last week too.

The remodel on the house starts next.
