I have a sbc 350 motor and I want to put a serpetine belt on it, here is a brief description.  It's a 350 sbc with short water pump, I'm putting into a 35 Ford, I'm told I can use one off a 4.3 Vortec, Does anybody know if this will work, or is there another system that will work?

Thanks

Harry

I don't know about the Chev, but on some Fords you have to make sure the water pump will turn the right way.

The 4.3  engine is a shortened 350 engine.  everything should bolt up if your engine has the proper bolts holes on the heads.  That is the one varible that I remember

Measure & look closely .... I'm pretty sure the 4.3 Vortec in my Astro van uses the long style water pump .....
