The Carquest guy has told me that there's about to be a shortage of 134A. I bought a can last week and this week it was $1.50 more. When I asked about it, he said that it might get in real short supply.

Humm, wouldn't think they would be phasing out the 134a before they get the replacement HFO-1234yf in production, but never know.

But since I've never purchased 134a I guess I'll be skipping over it kinda like I skipped over Windows Vista and so far Windows 7.

keep an eye on the can style...

the new 2011 individual cans have a 10 buck deposit on it..

they also use a $3 valve adaptor. as the cans no longer are pierce.. the adaptor takes your piercing valve and converts it into a depression valve core type...

probably in the hope to not have the remaining  gas from being  discharged into the atmosphere... when the system is full and you still have a partial can...

DO not pierce the can....   you may not get your 10 bucks back on the empty...

people have already tried to return cans from other states for the deposit without success...
