Regular was 106.9/litre in our town this morning, after spiking up to 114.9 yesterday.

Hey you guys "Up North" .......I heard today on the radio that 80% of the fuel cost in Canada & Europe is in taxes that go back to the Government for road repair & construction ....... Is that the case ??  
Down here , we are blessed with :  (in order)

 State Motor fuel tax....
 EPA tax of some kind ...
 County Motor fuel tax ......
 AND ....Are you ready ??    10% SALES TAX on the bottom line ....  
 Yep ...They actually charge sales tax on the other taxes ..... :evil:

  Thats why the big disparity between fuel cost in the "Collar Counties" as they are called , and  Chicago proper .... :?

Nobody buys anything in the city if they can get it in the 'burbs somewhere .....

How about the famous "Head Tax" ....    $1.00 per month per employee paid to the city .....

$119.9/litre today.What ticked me off even more was the lady in front of me at the pump who had to finish a lengthy cell phone conversation inside the station before paying her bill and pulling away from the pump.

Station I watch in Phoenix on Grand Ave is 3.80  a gallon for diesel

Regular gasoline is 3.30 a gallon
