$3.99/9 this afternoon  here.

Hey Charlie it must be they heard I was coming back next week!  It's $3.65-3.85 here right now. The highest we've had to pay so far on the trip was $3.69 and the lowest was $3.09

It's $3.999  at most stations ....$4.059 by my office ..

 I found a station  at $3.899 &  got 21++ Gallons ......Never thought I'd be happy to buy gas at $3.90 a gallon....

I have never figured out why the price is so volatile in Michigan. While AZ or CO languishes for a couple weeks at whatever their price might be Michigan goes up 25 cents 3 times, back down 15 cents 4 times - like a yo-yo. And the news reports yesterday were crowing about the price softening nationally at the end of the week while it continued to rise here.

A rational person keeps trying to find some pattern, when indeed the only pattern is that there isn't one...I guess. Is there anything that the price of gas isn't tied to? One of my pals has invested regularly in companies that transport gasoline - pipelines primarily and he does very well.

Paid 3.69 a gallon for regular this morning.   That makes my fuel cost a dime per mile on the Goldwing since it averages 36 -38 mpg usually

All around my area are $3.939 to $3.999     :evil:

 The normally "high" one by my office is at $4.059..

Saw one on the way home at $4.159 for 87...

My buddy that manages a Limo company is actually looking into  "stretching"  imported sedans ...
No more Lincolns ..No more Grand Marquis ...He was actually getting 15--16MPG from those ...20+ on his full size sedans .....
He tried a couple of stretched Expeditions ...Both averaged  about 6 to 8 MPG ...Sold them PRONTO.....

Paid 3.82 a gallon for regular at the same station on saturday morning.

13 cents a gallon in 6 days. Is that good or bad  or average in todays situation?
