Some of those welds look like they came out of a tube.
I expect this is a sand drag or mountain climbing vehicle by the front tires?

I was at a tractor pull last night. Some of the 4x4 truck pullers run similar setups. With blown injected big blocks for power the standard transfer cases just don't cut it. In fact a few of the custom setups didn't survive the night either. It isn't pretty when the truck is at full power with a lot of load and the driveline comes unhooked.
