Postage To Australia

hi guys & gals
   i'm try to buy a gauge refacing kit for my 48 chev pickup the problem i'm facing is postage to aus,i can buy the kit from chevs of the 40s for around $10 but postage to aus is $55, now i have bought slotcar parts from the US before and postage was only $9,It's just that i think $65 for a sticker sheet is a bit much,does anyone  have any ideas

How much do they want to mail it to one of your American friends ?
Have them mail it for you.

I've mailed several of my ebay photos to Australia and the postage has run about $6.50 for up to 8ea of 8.5 x 11 photo prints.
