the thing about corvettes.... they are to most people some exotic car...

they are actually.. under the skin... mostly chevy... usually a year ahead of other models... but not always...

the ones that frighten people most... are the dreaded CROSSFIRE models... produced in 82 and 84... people treat those like the fuel injection system is totally different..

if you look at it like its JUST a gm TBI used on millions of other gm cars and trucks... they are easy to work on...

there are a quite a few tech articles on these magazines..

http://www.corvettefever.com/techarticles/index.html

http://www.vetteweb.com/tech/index.html

both have search windows for more articles...  for that model.. type in C3

both including articles on interior restoration and things like console repairs...

All my life I've had hot rods, my first car was my Hiboy Model A Coupe.

I thought most any really cool car would be a chick magnet.

I was way wrong, all my Hot Rods and Cool cars ever attracted was other guys.

I've owned 3 Corvettes in my life, 69 Roadster, 79 and 81 Coupes.

I was driving my 69 Roadster with my wife one warm evening slowly around a local lake and was hailed to a stop by 3 or 4 young gals wanting to look at the vette and one asking if she could go for a ride. I politely declined.

It definitely brought home to me Vettes are about as chick magnet as it gets.

So many times I've been in a parking lot and have gals come and strike up a conversation about the Vettes. With comments that were very obviously engaging.

Darn if I didn't get rid of the Vettes before I got rid of the wife.

Well it must be time to get another Vette then.

My friend got his windows fixed on his Corvette. He joined one of the boards suggested here and they gave him ideas what to look for. Turned out a wire had come loose from the fuse panel, apparently not uncommon on these things do to where the fuse panel is located in relation to the drivers feet. All is well now, we went for a ride today and I was very surprised by how much attention a fair condition '78 'Vette gets...

Heh, heh, unfortunately my SS doesn't provide an additional allotment for vette payments.

Blondes look really good in Vettes.

Course Brunettes also look good in Vettes as well.
