Fan switch

Any one had any experience with this type fan controller--thinking about putting a cooling fan on ragtop with this setup

   * Thermostat is a Single Stage Controller
   * 3/8" pipe thread water jacket thread-in brass probe.
   * Activates turn on at 180'F and shuts off at 170'F.
   * Will work on any 12 volt fan.

I don't know anything about that one. I used the Centec. It uses the lead to the heat gauge. It's entirely adjustable for on/off.

Not sure about that switching / sensor system..My concern is the relay capacity...30/40 amp relay but "system" shows a 25 amp capacity??

I am currently using 70 Amp relays for ALL the electric fans I install or re-wire..."Gets them up to speed" ...NOW....( Take a look at some of the OE relays on your ambulances & you will see what I mean ) ...

the VF7's are the ones for high current applications...  

the Vf7's are single pole , single throw...  so there is only one set of contacts...    the large terminals on these are 3/8 instead of quarter inch... so they can handle more power...

the 70 amp relays are available in many brands... at many places...

Bob I know what you mean--most of my realys in the rigs are 40 amp
