Run the magnetized tools past an A/C coil (onel that is plugged in).   The A/C current thru the coil will de-magnetize the metal.........

on a slightly differnt but huge mistake in magnetics..

my older brother was chief engineer of a major recording company...at one point the tape archive person had a brilliant thought.. magnetic back labels for the steel shelves that the original 2 track mix down master tapes sat on...  magnets and recording tape don't mix... if you really like what is recorded on them.. the biggest oops ever...  another brainless person.. fixed it even better... they took the 2 track mix downs and recorded them in mass onto 16 track and 24 track tapes... mixing the artists together.. this is one of the reasons that the digital versions of songs are not the originals that were played...
