Twist drill bit sharpening

UGLY OLDS

yes i hyave a magnifier lens already. Its the darkness of the shield thats messing me up i think.... ive got an auto darkening lense but i dont think its dark enuff and its bright enuff to not allow me to see where im welding.

Check inside the helmet, on the top edge of the lens holder..look for a little slide switch that changes the shade of the lens...My lincoln hood can be changed from #10 to #12..Also, if you wear magnifying glass's ,( bi-focals..etc) , my optomitrist advised me not to use a magnifying hood lens WITH magnifying glass's..something about "focus distortion" ..'course HE probaby can't weld worth a hoot anyway....If you really want an adventure, try a magnifying lens in the helmet & tri-focals....( Don't ask me how I know that.... :shock:  :shock:  :shock:  :lol: Hope this helps....

I have tried and tried and the only way to sharpen a drill bit is to buy a new one. Now I have to buy new ones as there is a heap of crap in the way of the grinder.

Ill look this weekend but i dont believe i can change it this was  just a lense(auto darkening) that i put in my helmet i think it came from TIP or someone like that about 8 years ago.
