We have many similar events here in Oklahoma called a Calf Fry. They charge to get in though. Even local small towns have them for loacl fund raisers through FFa or 4H.  I had a graduating class of 21 students from High school, and our local calf fry was the absolute best place for a young kid to go and swipe, errrrrr borrow, yeah thats it,  beer out of the back of local farmers pickups!!!!!!

Im 30 now, depending on the cook, and the seasoning used, they dont taste that bad at all. And they really do go well with beer (well lots, of lots of, lots of, lots of, lots of, lots of, lots of beer)
