I resize all my pictures using some free software. I think it's called EZThumbs or something like that. I make the pictures 650 pixels wide and 72 dpi. Some one told me the highest res you can see on a computer screen is 72 dpi so, there's no reason to load anything higher to the net. I did a little testing and it appears they were correct.

Next I use Arcsoft to "tune up" the color and or sharpness of some of the shots.

Then I use Dreamweaver/Fireworks to create the web album which I spiff up a bit with my own headings, colors and links. Finally I use Dreamweaver to connect to my web host and ftp the html files and pictures to my site.
