Bob ...

They don't come out to my neck of the woods Bob.

Mustang made the round trip. It didn't like the cold either.

Bravada is fixed.
I replaced the tie rod and the connector. I can turn the old tie rod 1/2 turn in the connector with my finger. I can pull it in and out of the connector 1/2" while it was on the car. Rod end is great and still has grease in....
I am just thankful it didn't pull all the way out while one of us was driving it.
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

Good catch. It was only a matter of time until it would have pulled all the way out.

oh.. and for those who are not familar.. the spark plugs look like this when they come out.. or IF THEY COME OUT>.

http://i.imgur.com/N4C8sFL.jpg

the extended tips are NOT sealed from combustion chamber.. so the gap fills with carbon or crusty stuff..

when you try to back them out.. the crust either breaks off the extended section.. snaps the hex off above the threads..  or keeps the spark plug from following the threads upward ... just sits and spins eating off the threads .. so the next time you are at WOT... the combustion pressures are more than one thread will handle and pop it goes. usually eating out the coil

also.. the small extended end is to fit between the valve seats of the 3 and 4 valve cylinder heads..

i don't have any info on how this works...

EDIT>>> THESE ARE FOR 2 VALVE motors only...

Double checked it all.
I installed all new ball joints, tie rods, and wheel bearings sway bar links and idler arm two years ago. I figured that I should do it all at one time. Save on alignment cost and if two were bad then they were all getting bad.
