I posted a steering column using USPS from california to Australia earlier this year while I was there and it was way way cheaper than UPS.
Fedex do a box and I think USPS do to, that has a set price. Whatever you can fit in it has a flat rate.
I know a rim up to 15x7 will fit in it but a 15x10 won't.
