George - thanks for the links. On that short list of drivers on the forst link I knew 3 of them. I must have missed that thread on the HAMB or I would have added to it at the time.

Charlie, if you look up Whisky Ridge on ebay (spelled that way) you'll see some of their speedway news flyers with pretty cool pics.  Judging from the safety gear on the cars I'd guess the average life span of drivers in those days was pretty short.

Thanks George, I took a look at the eBay stuff. Interesting that Whisky is spelled both ways and that I chose the "wrong" way.
