Quote from: "47 ragtop"I also had a PRC aluminum radiator in my last 47 chevy w/350 .060 over. I think it cooled better than any copper radiator that I ever had including a walker. However in a car like a 32-34 w/radiator exposed thru  the grille I would use a walker strictly for the looks factor. The key to proper cooling is always air flow thru the radiator not the brand or construction as long it is large enough capacity.

Depending on usage getting a lot of airflow is sometimes a problem. Idleing in traffic is just one example. My son has a 383 sbc powered Jeep for the sand dunes. Always had a cooling problem, on the dunes only, until he went to an aluminum cross-flow 2 core. Never had a problem after that. It was also the reason I went from a 5 core standard construction to an aluminum triple pass 2 core.
Some days it\'s not worth chewing through the restraints.
