O/T-TV Remote Cntrl repair-anyone know?

I don't think there is supposed to be any kind of "lube". The lube is usually oil from eating chips while watching the tube!
I had good success washing off the circuit board and buttons with rubbing alcohol. Try to find some alky with the least amount of water in it. Let the whole thing dry before trying it.
I never could find a universal remote that would program the TV channels,  screen settings, etc.

The "lube" I was speaking of is not something that's eaten, it's ingested in liquid form.
