My hedders keep eating plug wires

when my wires burnt the truck started to miss and there was a hole in the boot of the spark plug wire and it was arcing through that hole.  I swithed wires for the rest of the day and put some aluminum foil aroung the good boot for some heat dissipation.  Not a real solution they are not getting hot at the wire but the boot attached to the sparkplug. I have since hammered in the hooker shorty headers at the end of each close boot. Ed ke6bnl

Thanks for the tip.
I really want to try to avoid hammering on the headers, since they are still on the car, and its kinda cramped under the hood of the Coupe.
