Hammering on them is too harsh and usually moves the hinge alignment. Now that I think about it I held a BFH under hinge to back it up when he air hammered them in. I would use this method in a heartbeat. The C Clamp didn't seem to have enough power and if not lined up 100% it slips off. We had to remove one pin and air hammered it out with ease. Hope this helps.

It's done. he is on his way to pick it up. We ended up installing the pins with an air hammer and a rivet set. They went right in no problem.
