Quote from: "Sean"I would stick with the Qjet. Rebuilt and properly tuned, they are great, and as mentioned earlier, I always seemed to get better mileage with them.

Well I just rebuilt the thing and man does that truck have some power.  I think that the quadrajet will work for the meantime.  Thanks for all the help Yall

I think what you should be saying is the wheel cylinder. The master cylinder is the one on the firewall that sends fluid to thw four wheel cylinders. It has control of the four smaller ones hense the name master. GPster

alright then, thats what the guy at the local shop here called it.  Anyways know where I might find one? I may need another here shortly.

Quote from: "OldSub"You need to either post some pictures or look at a repair manual to correctly identify the parts you're having trouble with.

The master cylinder is no where near the spindles on a '63 Chevy pickup.

what i was saying was the bolt that goes into the spindle that held on the master cylinder and went through a plate was completely stripped and I couldn't find a replacement, but never mind about it yall I finally found one that worked off of a 65.  Eventually now I will just swap the front end and go with disc brakes instead.

I was wondering what would be the best for my 63 chevy in the way of a carb for a 327 engine.  Right now its got a 4 barrel quadrajet on it and the thing leaks a little.  I would rather replace the thing if I could i was just wondering if anyone knew of an awsome replacement.  I was told to go with an Edelbrock or a holley but I don't know?

Rodder's Roundtable / Need Help on 63 Chevy Pickup

I recently bought a 63 chevy pickup stepside.  The question is when the wheel started making some noise we took it all off to find that the spindle and the bolt that goes through the master cylinder was stripped completely and I was wondering where I could find a replacement.  I need to fix it a quick and as cheap as I can.  (college student)  Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
